Agak-Agak Virtual Potluck: Malam 31 Oktober

There are a few things that can bring people together the way a shared meal can 🍲. At this ode to Halloween potluck dinner, we will be exploring our shared stories in and around food related to superstitions and local taboos.

So how does this work? Well, think of a regular potluck, except instead of bringing an actual dish, you bring along a story about a dish you would like to share. Some stories that were shared in our previous potlucks include:
πŸ₯˜ Laksa and my mother’s memory
πŸ₯˜ Ginger chicken and the comforts of home
πŸ₯˜ MY version of grandma's ghee prawns

In addition, we will introducing a new element to our dinner where we showcase a highlight dish including its history, fun facts and full DIY recipe for you to take home (follow our Instagram page for the dish reveal closer to time @agakagak.stories)!

If you love stories, superstitions, learning new recipes - or are simply curious about the dinner, book a spot at our table. Bring along your dish and curiosity!

DISCLAIMER: You don’t need to be a writer/blogger/journalist to join us for dinner. All you need to have is a story that you’d like to share and a keen interest in learning about our local dishes. FYI, we have a cap of 6 guests per dinner table including one host.

See you at our dining table!
